Rink Setup/Teardown

We had beautiful weather, over the weekend, which is great for outdoor Fall activities, but not so great for making ice.  Made a little headway but just weren't able to get as far as we wanted.

That being the case it looks like Thursday is going to be the day for ice painting and getting a start on measuring/marking the ice and putting the vinyl lines down.  If all goes well we'll finish that on Friday and spend the weekend building the final layers of ice, putting up the glass, and hanging the netting.  If all that goes really really well we'll be able to skate on Monday.

For painting we simply need extra hands to help move the hose around the ice.  After that we'll need people that can help measure, mark, and lay out the vinyl lines.  Then we'll need the extra hands, again, to help move the hose as we seal the lines with a few thin layers of ice.  For those looking for lighter-duty work, painting and putting lines down are the tasks to help with.

In the meantime, there are a few things we can work on Tuesday.  The bleachers can be moved in, mats can be put down, the Zam wall can go up, and there's glass that can be cut down.

Again, check back here for updates as things progress.
